There's actually a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Rant within. Boss Mustang for irony.

People need to not be so damn thin skinned. Will English in America be reduced to a few hundred words deemed unoffensive? I was called all sorts of things as a kid. Including fat. Guess what, I was kinda chubby. And sure it hurt, but that's part of being a kid. You learn from it, choose friends wisely, and become a better person. Don't "ban" a word, teach kids how to deal with it cause if it isn't one word, it will be another and you can't ban them all. And why can't child A call child B bossy if he/she is indeed bossy? Teaching kids that they can't call it like they see it can't be good either. It will create a generation of kids afraid to speak their mind at the risk of offending somebody.

Semi related personal story:

A kid in my shop class kept kicking me and one day he tried five different times to stab me in class with a scratch awl , I don't know what he had against me. I didn't complain and whine and be all thin skinned, I grabbed the piece of red hot steel I was black smithing and forced the guy to back away. When that didn't work I punched him in the face. Luckily my shop teacher is awesome and was totally cool with me fighting back (he didn't like the kid) because the bully kid tried to say I nearly killed him which if reported would have meant a massive suspension for me with no chance of me stating my point of view to the school officials. Society needs to man up and stop being so wimpish.

Yea. They're trying to blame a lack of female executives on it. I'm sorry, I didn't realize there needed to be a proportionate number of every gender, race, religion, age, orientation etc. represented in every profession. You don't hear men crying about the disproportionate numbers in flight attendants, child day care services, teachers, nurses...

It seems to be a feminists getting mad at certain adjectives again type of thing. Honestly the term feminazi is truly appropriate for these people. Old school feminists, at least in the U.S. fought for their rights because they were treated as second class citizens through and through. Just look at modern-day Saudi Arabia, that's pretty much how women were treated in America, it just wasn't called sharia law. There's definitely still is a wage gap between men and women in our society which needs attention. However, the whole feminist movement today is caught up on stupid extraneous shit like this and it hurts their reputation.

Exactly. I'm all for equality, but I've come across too many "feminists" who still expect a guy to fulfill traditional male roles and buy them dinner/drinks, flowers, hold the door, drive them everywhere etc. As far as I'm concerned, if you want equal rights and opportunities, then you have the equal right to buy me dinner and deal with the driving once in a while.

People have been making the 'man up and stop being thin skinned' argument for a while. Mainly with regards to bullying, which I think is unfair. People don't need to become thick skinned, other people need to stop being such complete and utter assholes.

That being said, when I heard about this 'bossy' thing this morning, my reaction was 'get the fuck over it and man the fuck up'
